Vanrik stands just shy of six feet in height, and looks to be more athletic and graceful than muscled and stocky. He is easily discernible as human, and doesn't look very intimidating. His light brown hair is short on the sides and back, but spiked up on top. His eyes are a piercing blue, and his nose is that bit of crooked that tells it's broken and reset at least once. While not what would be termed pretty or even handsome, he at least is not ugly.

He wears a set of worn fiber armor, with a small shield generator on his left arm. He has a wristpad on and often has a holorecorder in hand. He usually has a heavy pistol and a vibrorapier holstered on either hip, and sometimes carries a cycler rifle when things are dangerous, or could become so. He normally wears a vest with a lot of pockets, but occasionally carries a stuffed backpack as well.
