Interests/Hobbies: Mae enjoys a good book, particularly fantasy novels, and going to concerts.  She has a very eclectic taste in music liking everything from rockabilly country to rap to metal, she can almost always find something she likes in any genre and enjoys hearing new things.  Mae is generally interested in trying most anything once.  Mae has been trained in first aid and CPR at her parent's insistence which she has since maintained knowing it could be a good thing to know.  Mae's father trained her in Hapkido from a fairly young age and, while the training was not done through a particular school and so she has no "official" belt ranking Mae is roughly at the level of a blackbelt in the style and maintains her training as part of her usual morning routine.

Appearance: Mae is an attractive Korean woman with wavy reddish-brown hair, brown eyes, and a pale complexion.  She stands around five foot three inches and weighs about one-hundred thirty-three pounds. She has an hour glass figure and enjoys wearing black or purple dresses that fit her figure well and has been known to wear the occasional corset because she finds the restrictive feel enjoyable.

History: Mae Hyo-Rin is a first generation Korean American.  Her parents, P’ung and Chung Kyo-Rin, both moved to the US before she was born and Mae was raised learning both Korean and English.  Mae spent her early years as the lone Asian girl in grade school and middle school.  It wasn’t until she reached high school that she met anyone else of Asian heritage.

Mae became close friends with Xu Clark, a Chinese American, and the two found they both enjoyed a variety of musical styles.  They both ended up in band for a year or two and then show choir.  During this time Mae found herself attracted to Xu but ultimately she was too afraid to say anything.  She started dating a boy named Andy in her junior year but was never very serious about him.  When she and Xu graduated they continued to keep in touch, though Xu started into college across the country that fall so they haven’t seen each other since.

Her parents had been able to provide well for her but college was going to be a significant challenge.  Mae decided that she would take a year or two off of school and get a job to help save up some more money to pay for her further education and ended up looking for secretarial work since she had some interest in business but was more than a little surprised to end up as an intern!

Writing sample: Mae walked out of the house when she heard Xu pull up.  Her best friend was about to leave for college in California in a few days and this was going to be their last hurrah.  She had gotten tickets to go see one of Xu’s favorite bands, Metallica, in concert.  Yeah, she knew it was odd that Xu liked a metal band that had been around longer than either of them had been alive, but that didn’t matter to either of them as they both enjoyed the group and it was unlikely they would get this chance again.

Mae was wearing a black corset dress with a lace skirt that left her shoulders bare except for a pair of thin straps.  She had a pair of tight fitting black boots that reached her knees and wore a black choker that had a red rose design at her throat.  A great deal of her cleavage was exposed but Mae was covering that up for now with a jacket so her parent wouldn’t notice.

Mae called back to her parents, ”I’ll be back before one!  Bye!”  Mae got into the car and looked over at Xu as she buckled in.  Xu pulled out and Mae leaned back in the seat as she said, ”Are you ready for our til next time blast Xu?”  Mae slid her jacket off and smiled at Xu’s shocked look.  She had hoped she’d get that reaction, this night was already promising to be fun.

Today's Outfit: Mae was wearing another dress almost identical to her regular black one but it was red this time with the same tight fit and short hemline.  She had a pair of red shoes with three inch heels on them
