Nicholas Rakisch

Name: Nicholas Rakisch
Age: 42

Occupation: Lawyer with Sloane Law Firm
Calling: Deal-maker, Mentor, Influencer

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Kinks/Style: Nick is attracted to people he considers interesting. People of different backgrounds, with high skills at something or interesting stories, people where he might not know what to expect next or could find entertaining or enlightening simply to have around. If that leads to something physical in addition even better. To be fair, for someone physically attractive that's into him, he could find a way to consider them 'interesting', at least for a while.

Personality: Outside of work Nick is generally easygoing, friendly, and open to new people and new experiences. He drinks but doesn't get drunk or high, preferring to make his mistakes with his full faculties and not wanting to surrender control. At the office he is still easygoing and friendly in passing but is exacting and demanding around cases and the actual work.

Interests/Hobbies: Art, especially painting and photography, less-produced pro wrestling, travel, motorcycles, skydiving, raquetball, the variety of experiences a city like New York offers.

Appearance: Nick is a 42 year old Euro-American male, 6'1" or so with blue eyes and a full head of dark brown hair that is starting to show stray silver strands. He's reasonably fit and active for his age but is starting to experience some wear, encountering unwelcome reminders that he's not in his twenties anymore.  At work he wears well-tailored suits, never knowing when he might need to hop into a negotiation or go before a judge.

History: Nick was born and raised in northern Virginia, part of an upper-middle-class family. He attended George Mason University as an undergrad then scraped his way through Columbia for law school, staying in New York to pursue his career.

Since then he’s climbed the ladder and built his reputation, married and divorced twice along the way. Nick is a competent attorney with a good win record in court, but he is not a cutthroat slash and burn lawyer or someone who writes truly dazzling briefs. Where he excels is in the personal interactions and negotiations - pleas, settlements, contract negotiations and the like. He is the reasonable one sent in first, with the implicit knowledge that if you fail to reach an accommodation with him, you get to deal with the cutthroats instead. Over the years he has helped develop those working under him, demanding a lot but helping them grow and take next steps, even if it’s out of his own firm. Combined he has developed an extensive contact network at various levels in many offices and courts.
