Short and petite, Laura is used to being initially overlooked.  To offset this, she tries to be outgoing, but it's hard.  Her auburn hair is close cropped in a pixie cut, and her piercing green eyes show either a hint of mischief, or a touch of fear.  It depends on the day, really.
