Symri

Description: Strange blood flows and burns in Symri's veins as they hold themselves with incorruptible pride wreathed in the radiance of the Sun and resplendent with scales the dancing hue of flame and celestial purity. The heritage from which their essence descends clear to any who might take but a moment to ruminate upon the many things beyond the vault of the sky. That other worldly essence leaving one with the unpleasant sensation of staring upon something alien to them despite understanding the curve of sinuous neck, the sweep of one fire bright wing, or the curving crown of horns upon their head. By that same token it seems almost painful to watch them for too long as if staring into a dim reflection of the distant Sun above and by that same realization one comes to a fuller appreciation of the lack of subtlety that Symri possesses... Their every gesture made with strength, pride, and self confidence and only ever seeming to allow them to bend knee and bow their head when faced with something truly and utterly superior to them in the moment.

That pride though never gutters or flickers... and seems only to find such moments of imposed awareness of their short comings and weaknesses as challenges to surmount, rivals to be supplanted... Always feeding that ambition at the heart of every Taninim to grow stronger and assert both their claim to dominion and territory in equal measure. Yet for such ferocious spirit... They seem ever warm and cordial to those who recognize their superiority above them. That warmth often life giving in it's expression with gifts and healing to be found plentifully in their good graces.

Biography  The last to be born but no where near the least of the Clutch, Symri was slow, weak, and always cold in the earliest days of their life but as the fire within them kindled and grew... They soon became one of the fiercest among their clutch, known for what was then dubbed youthful arrogance and an overabundance of strength with little sense to support it... They were one watched by Elegant Tooth with particular care as their dull red scales suggested a vicious and wicked inclination. It was only with the first shed that the Elegant Tooth came to realize they were faced with something that, the divine willing, would grow to burn brighter and more fiercely than them as those dull red scales became the hue of true fire and took on a radiance that seemed to irritate the eye. Faced now with an outer dragon, a prideful one at that, they knew that they had to instill in them a certain... appreciation for the order of things and that it must be done from a place of obvious strength. A task that was not hard for the elder Taninim and so they set to the task of sternly guiding the young Symri.

Their lessons were not kindnesses but a necessity so that the young solar taninim might thrive and grow... And so they taught them of the hierarchy, of the order of things, and to exercise a careful consideration in what they did as whilst their elder kin might say that Solar Dragons were responsible for all life, that in turn gave them responsibility or stewardship for all that was. A lesson that seemed to resonate with the prideful nature of young Symri and informed the graciousness with which they came to treat all who bent the knee... but in turn fed the fiery heart and spirit that expressed itself when faced with those who thought to order them yet lacked the strength to truly match them.

Time, (slight) age, and pride guided them then onto the path of the Exemplar, only reinforcing that pride and expressing their strength of mind, body, and spirit with a certain purity that could not be ignored. It drew them envy and admiration in equal measure, which in turn saw them embattled with many as pride demanded it and each who could best them or stood above them seemed to only serve as challenge and enticement to that innate ambition. That ambition guiding them to the court of Cracked Sky at their call for talented Taninim.
