Haru comes from simple a family of simple farming stock that have worked on the land for generations unbroken. The hill barbarians were always a lingering threat though attacks were few and far between and the food and livestock taken was no worse than an unexpectedly strong storm.

For unknown reasons the barbarians became more bold and sought blood as well as food and so Haru found himself standing side by side with his felow farmers weilding scythes, axes or sharpened stakes they fought of raid after raid.

With each raid more of Haru's friends or family fell and during one raid the battle seemed lost only to be rallied Haru with a plea for courage and a foolhardy charge. The farmwers fought of the barbarians, barely. Haru took steps to gather men and women from neighbouring villages to work together and fight of the barbarians with ambushes and building simple defences around each village.

Haru has been leading the militia and organissing several surrounding villages whislt sendign request for aid to Cai Mura and the Daimyo. The taxes and quotas have continued tro arrive but no word of assitance or acknowledgement has been uttered. Haru has now journeyed forth with his trusty hound Yuki to Cai Mura in order to petition the Daimyo directly in ther hopes of receiving much needed aid for his struggling people.
