Mori Shapeshade is an older gnome, known by his allies to be a potent Illusionist. He used to travel the land (and occasionally the world) with his wife and some close friends as adventurers. But he has been mostly retired for the last few decades, even though he and his wife still did a lot of traveling. He has light tan skin, aquamarine eyes, metallic black hair, and is surprisingly well-toned for someone his age. Not strong, but toned. His clothes can change quite drastically from moment to moment, thanks to the magical sleeves he wears.

Mori willingly headed toward New Sothis when he became afflicted, and plans to use what little time he has left investigating the mysterious sickness.

Mori also has several helpers that are usually not far from him:

Slinker: A tiny viper that usually naps inside Mori's scroll case. He is trained to Protect, Milk Venom, and Detect.

Glib: A beautiful parrot native to the area. She usually follows Mori at a fair distance, and is trained to Come, Flee, Fetch, Deliver, Speak, and Find Master.

Harken: A black raven that usually follows Mori at a distance, like Glib. He is trained to Come, Flee, Watch, Seek, Quiet Watch, and Sneak.

Bitsy: A tiny poppet construct that can fly. Bitsy usually stays in Mori's magical haversack unless called upon to perform a random task.

Bobbin: A small poppet construct designed to be able to carry sizeable loads. Bobbin usually stays in Mori's magical haversack unless the old gnome requires assistance carrying things around. Or if Mori requires rope or twine, since the construct has been adorned with a Robe of Infinite Twine.
