Hayden "Dirk" Thompson is the only beloved son of a powerful female mergers and acquisitions lawyer in Delaware.  He's well educated and charismatic.  If he attended classes at the University of Delaware (or worked for his outstanding grades there) he would probably make a great doctor.  Instead, he "works" as an intern for his mother's law firm and laments his lot in life while acting out as a pick pocket.
