Without that tattoo, one could hardly be blamed for mistaking her heritage. Kotone is rarely seen without a warm smile and a friendly question. Her affable manner and lilting voice makes her a natural liaison between her infamously aloof brethren and the rest of Rokugan. The young courtier is almost insatiably curious, and her fascination with intrigue is often all-consuming. Like a moth to flame, she is incapable of resisting a puzzle, whether contained within a cipher or within the minds of men. A little over five feet tall, Kotone is light on her fight. Her every movement seems to evoke the perfect flow of water-- the result of nearly a decade of rigorous practise. She usually wears her black hair pulled back from her face, the upper half twisted up into clever knots or braids with kanzashi, the rest left loose to skim the base of her ribs. Although her gaze is often inviting, her grey eyes are pure Kitsuki steel. Widowed only a few months prior, Kotone still dresses in white as she remains in mourning. Nearly all of her kimono feature plum blossoms embroidered in thread ranging from silver to pale greens and golds. |
