Wilbur Francis-Wright was born to a burgher family and afforded among the finest educations from a young age. Yet, having a bad attitude at home and being badly positioned by circumstance, some of his family endeavored to have him sent away somehow.
Wilbur had, as it turned out, taken a liking to theology at a young age. So, with a falsified age and some falsified documents, it was arranged that Wilbur would become the common-law chaplain of what turned out to be an ill-fated vessel.
Wilbur is a drunk, and does not care very much for the spiritual well-being of the crew members, but he will read the daily prayers, and if he is asked, he will even lead readings from scripture. He probably would not have remained on for very long.
