Diyin is a handsome man with cat slit golden eyes. Fring falls over the left side of his face and sometimes shadows his eyes. Arching eyebrows and a faint smile, the golden eyes reflect like the moon and Diyin worships Selune like many of the folks in Hartvale. He wears his hair long, with a few sections braided back, with small colorful beads that stand out against ebon locks. A guan of ivory is often seen in his hair that has been artistically designed to so the pin that keeps it in place is the cat's tail.

He stands about six feet tall and has a wiry and powerful build though the loose robes often hide this. Across his shoulder is a katana, the sheath ebon black and has a stalking tiger down the length of it. A cat's eye is set into the sword cross and some have seen it blink his robes when he is working are simple white with a cloud motif. When he is dressed for adventure his clothes are black and embroidery along the sleeves and hem, are tigers and clouds. His under hanfu is a light golden shade, and the inner robe is a lighter gold shade. He wears close-fitting leather breeches beneath the robes since he does a lot of springing and acrobatic movements when he training, practicing and in combat.

A pair of bracers decorate his wrists, and he wears a locket that can often be seen.

Diyin's ears hold a elven point and yet slighty sharper than that. He has almost claw-like nails. When on the road he wears a simple dark cloak clipped with a stalking tiger, he comes from the Tiger Clan of Kara-Tur.
