DescriptionTall and broad-shouldered, Anise appears as a beautiful, human woman. She has red hair and hazel eyes. Her skin is fair and she moves with a grace that seems almost otherworldly. Normally, she dresses in simple dresses of fine material. However, when she is baking, she dresses more appropriately.
Personality
Anise is very happy-go-lucky. She always has a smile upon her face and is quick to lend a hand should it be needed. A song is seldom far from her lips and she is very energetic and whimsical. The only time she seems to slowdown is when she is hard at work concocting one of her culinary masterpieces.
Background
Anise Moonstar was born on the plane of Arborea in the realm of Arvandor. Since
Eladrin were usually created, her birth was seen as an omen of good fortune. Her
parents, both prestigious commanders within Corellon Larethian's divine court, presented the baby celestial to their lord. In his wisdom, he decreed that the child would be sent to the Prime Material Plane. A great destiny awaited her there, but she would need time to learn and grow into her power. Thus the great elven deity placed her in the care of the Moonstar family in Waterdeep. Apparently Selune owed him a favor.
Thus the young celestial grew up amid the hustle and bustle of a noble house in
Waterdeep. She knew she was different than the others, but her innate goodness and willingness to help shaped her outlook. Realizing she was quite chaotic, the
Moonstars hired a traveling monk to try and teach Anise discipline. For a time it worked, but her Eladrin blood won out and she eventually shirked her studies and began to sneak off into the city to learn all she could. This, of course, eventually led to the manifestation of her own innate powers and her blossoming sorcerous powers.
Once she came of age, Anise fled Waterdeep and her adoptive parents. Determined to travel Faerun and see what she could see, she signed up with the first mercenary band she could find that didn't seem quite so bad. Thus began the mercenary career of Anise. During these beginning years she made many mistakes, but also did much good. With her healing powers and sorceress might, she was a stalwart companion. When the Walking Man began to make himself known, she was the one who convinced her fellows to seek out and join the Company of Light.
After many trials and tribulations, the Company of Light succeeded and Lady Anise finds herself, along with her colleagues, elevated to Lords and Ladies. Having married Qiu An and settled down to start a family, she runs the Moonstar Bakery. So far, she has birthed two children, Ithil, a boy of eight, and Alvara, a girl of five.
