Katy Elder, she's a woman of many faces.  Katy is a first cousin of Calamity Jayne Elder.  They did not grow up together but their lives took on almost identical paths.

Katy's mother died when she was young and her father was a Colonel in the US Cavalry and retired from there to a ranch near Whisky Flats, New Mexico.  She was of course sent off to Finishing School by her father only to return to find him dead and the ranch deed in the hands of a ruthless gambler.  Her father didn't gamble.  So she took to driving Stagecoaches, delivery wagons as a Mule Skinner, and the one that many do not realise is she is a US Secret Service Agent, a detective so to say, a deadly Agent to work on bringing the evil underworld of the West to justice.  She worked along with James West and Artemis Gordan.

She took this up after her heartbreaking break-up with the one man she loves more than anything and destined to never see him again.  Sean Malone, a deadly gun who set his foot down that she would NOT do this secret cover work even if her uncle was Sam Houston!  He would leave her if she did for he could not protect her from all that would be setting their sights to kill her.

So Katy spends a lot of her time driving deliveries and that's how she came to Laredo and joined her cousin here.  Will Sean Ever come back into Katy's life?  Only their destiny knows....
