Her family is of mixed heritage, probably.  Mom's still living in Sandpoint, Dad was a sorcerer of some description passing through on the way to some adventure.

She has just enough dragon in her from somewhere (almost certainly dad) to have slitted gold pupils, but that's about it.

She probably could have been a sorceress herself, but grew up playing rough and tumble with the boys of Sandpoint, with the callused knuckles to prove it.  When she started to bloom things got a little awkward, but knocking some sense into a few heads isn't beneath her.  Something about her heritage also began enhancing her physicality at that point, the thinned blood of dragons finding a physical outlet when denied a magical one.
