Sylvia is a human woman, twenty years of age, with thick, light blonde hair that reaches to her waist and pale blue eyes. Her complexion is pale to the point of ill health, which combines with the rest of her coloration to suggest, accurately, that something is eating away at her from within. That "something" is actually a curse, not a disease, though the hint of it is still enough to keep most people at a distance. Having it for most of her life has left her pretty short at five feet even.

In an effort both to cover up that indication and to politely keep discomforted people from contacting her accidentally, Sylvia dresses in heavy clothing when she's in public. She wears a long dress, heavy coat, hat, scarf, gloves, and boots, with the scarf pulled partway up over her face to cover her mouth. Though she's not a true cleric, her mostly-white clothing and necklace with a symbol of Desna suggest that she's still a devoted healer to those that need it. Only those in urgent need tend to solicit her services, though.

When Sylvia is traveling or otherwise alone, or with people she trusts, she dresses much more lightly, revealing a body type people don't usually expect from someone that's supposedly wasting away. While she can't do much about her slightly stunted stature, she battles her condition with a combination of eating a lot and keeping physically active, and she has a surprisingly full-figured build.
