Annu is a member of the Jackal tribe.  Nomadic animen hunters found specializing in the open plains and wastes.  They are reputed to be descended from sight-hound stock, and known to chase their prey to death.  And while Annueke is tall and lanky, she isn't unusually fast; probably atypical for one of her tribe.  Annueka has a number of tribal tattooes on her exposed skin (mostly hands and face), but none of them pertain to physical or hunting prowess.

Her golden eyes, skin and fur are also a rather unusually combination.  As is the glow that seems to accompany those features.  It may be a trick of the light, but you'd swear that Annu gave off her own warm light; perhaps not the best trait for a nocturnal hunter, but rather auspicious for her tribe.  She says she was conceived under falling stars in the constellation of the winter hunter.

Annueke is on her walkabout.  Expected of all of the Jackal tribe, it is a rite of passage for all to become adults (or die trying) and find their place (in the tribe and the world).  Annu plans on returning to her tribe.  But not yet.

When out and about, she wears the traditional parade armour.  Though considered primarily ceremonial, the garb is more than fully functional and, though a touch weather-worn, impressive to look at.  Mostly rawhide and cured leather with strudy, fitted cuirass and high tailored boots covering her digitigrade legs.  Her tailored gloves and vambraces are customized for her long fingers reinforced with metal strips.  As a member of the White Hand, Annu has a small, embossed, pale pawprint over the left breastplate of her cuirass.  It is not austentatious and is often covered by her cloak or her neck piece, but the healer makes no effort to display or conceal the symbol.

Her helmet is an impressive visored masterpiece, obviously custom and fitted for her long-snouted, canine facial features.  The glow of her eyes through the visored eyepieces is accentuated.
