Background:

Jake has occasionally mentioned his childhood, growing up on his parents plot of land near Fairbanks, Alaska. His father worked in construction, his mother in child care.

He got involved with the National Park Service as a volunteer at Mount McKinley National Park, where he eventually was employed as a Park Ranger helping to protect the parks resources from poaching and exploitation.

In the mid seventies Jake was first introduced to international conservation efforts, which eventually led to work in Garamba National Park, Zaire. He spent about five years helping the impoverished park and working alongside the Rangers there before being recruited into the Morrow Project.

He is not married and has no children.

Appearance:

Jacob is a fairly large man, tending towards a more bulky, muscular build rather than an athletic one. Too rough looking to be called handsome, he looks older than he is as his skin is already wind chapped and leathered from the sun.

His hair is a blond and kept fairly short, his eyes are gray blue.

Personality:

Jake is pretty reserved, especially for someone with a career in Law Enforcement, but he has always been more inclined to a low key approach. Not a fan of cities, crowds or even big parties, he enjoys a quieter, slower paced existence with plenty of time outside.

This trend extends into his professional demeanor with the project. He is normally the one urging a measured response with plenty of discussion and preparation.

A more traditional personality, he seems a wholesome sort and one that is suspicious of new concepts and ideas.
