Finnegan is a full elf who, as a child, was adopted by a seemingly barren human noble family in Ustalav.  He was given the family name and everything, and he was loved.  However, shortly after being adopted, the baroness got pregnant.  Even after his little brother was born, his parents still loved him as much as his brother.  However, several decades later, his brother died in a tragic horse accident.  Finnegan, previously an indolent wastrel, dedicated himself to the arts of Necromancy in order to bring his brother back.  Being in Ustalav, he had everything he needed close at hand.  However, before he could perform the ritual, he realized that he would simply be creating a mockery of the brother he loved.  Having lost his county while doing his research, he decided to use the knowledge he gained to travel the world and help people.
