Ann is the Slayer, and 18 years old. Although the action might be taking place in colleges with trendy punk fans, she's still in her last year in the sixth form at a local school, and a devoted fan of disco. Having said that, she might well try to fake knowledge of punk if she feels it makes her look more mature, though she'll probably show herself up with her lack of knowledge about it.

Initially, she'll be uncertain of herself and will wish she weren't the Slayer, though if she survives long enough that will turn around. She lives in a house in the city with her parents and two older brothers. They're not very well off, and she's not sure what she wants to do after she leaves school. She's never been very gifted academically, or particularly sporty, though she's suddenly become very good at sports since becoming the Slayer.

She's studying History, French and Music at school.

She has a Saturday job at the local grocer's.
