Cassandra Watkins.. yes that Cassandra Watkins... had just finished the filming for the reboot of the first season 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' when she actually met something that looked like a real vampire.

It was lucky for her that the Estate was already tracking down the Chrysallis. While she managed to dispatch it: she was picked for the role for a number of reasons, and one of those was that she had been learning martial arts since the tender age of three, and some of those practice swords on the wall were not really practice swords, she was infected by the creature

Now a month later, she has come to terms with the fact that she can actually 'vamp out' for real, and that the world of Buffy is actually a pale shadow of the real world. She rationalises with herself that she's only joining the Estate to make sure that she keeps control of her current form, but the real reason is that she feels a sense of Duty: someone has to keep the world safe.
