''What you don't see will fucking kill you' This became Nathan's mantra during his four years in the army. First as an armored cavalry scout then as an explosion ordinance disposal (EOD) specialist. He learned to quickly locate an hidden trap or enemy before they cause harm to you and others.

While he survived his time in the army the emotional scars took their toll. It took two years, part of time he spent on the street before he was able to function in society.

After two years in college he joined the police force. After five year he completed his degree and  was working on becoming a detective. He left his police vehicle and was meeting some of his fellow officers when the world ended.
