Mohammed Murphy (Mo or Momo) is from Kilburn, London. He was raised by a single mum and a pair of older sisters in the rough and tumble of a council estate. Mum said his dad was Egyptian. A big lad, he got dragged into gangs and pretty crime because his schoolmates wanted a bruiser. He could certainly look after himself in a fight and he ended up getting into many. He left school with only two GCSEs, not for a lack of aptitude, more a lack of interest and self discipline. His sister, Clara, got him a job moving furniture for the company she worked for.

That should have helped him keep his nose clean but he started helping out a friend with odd jobs to earn some extra cash and got nicked making a delivery. He made good while locked up, reading in the prison library. He was even considering getting some more GCSEs when his release date came around. It was harder to find work now but he did get a job on a building site. He didn't like the others whistling at passing women and got into more fights.
