Family Info: Leon is an only child and grew up bouncing between Federation starships and space stations following the careers of both his parents. They carry a deep disappointment that Leon wasn’t able to live up to the expectations of Star Fleet and, after his court martial, they don’t keep in touch.

Backstory: Leon carried a rebellious streak into Star Fleet Academy and quickly washed out of officer training. He displayed great aptitude for computers and engineering and was able to talk his way into a NonCom billet as an Engineer’s mate on the science vessel USS Grissom. Scientists and researchers aren’t ‘security-minded’ at the best of times and Leon took advantage of their overworked schedules to help smuggle contraband and sell equipment in the black market.  Eventually he was caught, court martialed and kicked out of Star Fleet.

Personality & Motivation: While Leon has begun to reflect on his personal failings, he still carries a rebellious outlaw attitude. The truth is, he is seeking attention, a consequence of having been raised by parents who put a lot into their career and sometimes sacrificed connections with family.
