Sir Guy of Gisburne, The Sheriff of Yorkshire, is the right-hand man to Prince John, close friend of The Sheriff of Nottingham, and half-brother to the Duke. Gisbourne is a powerful knight, but he has the grim demeanor of an executioner. Self-identifying as "a warrior and not a courtier", Guy has a short temper and will use violence to defend his honor. Guy’s face is horribly disfigured, and he is generally unliked by most, and has been accused of many misdeeds. He accused Jennet of Elsdon of Witchcraft and had her executed, but it is rumored he faked the evidence because she rejected his romantic advances.
