Contrary to what most Neo Pagans believe, Ragnarök has already occurred. The Allfather was wise enough to create Vígríðr far from Midgard, so that the apocalyptic battle would not harm humanity. Only Baldr, Hod, Hoenir, Magni, Modi, Njord, Vidar, Vali, and Sunna's daughter survive the cataclysm. Baldr, being the greatest and wisest of the surviving Æsir, becomes the High King of the remaining gods. Baldr pulls everyone back to Asgard, so that they might rebuild the land of the gods in peace, without fear of any more enemies coming upon them. However, the Æsir are sworn to protect Midgard. As such, Baldr commands that Magni, the only god capable of lifting Mjölnir, to take up his father's duties. Though saddened to be far from home and his surviving siblings, Magni has accepted this duty. However, unlike his father, he has decided to be a more humble protector, only revealing his godly powers during times of great crisis. Otherwise, he lives simply as a jovial vagabond. Though he has been known to act as a brewer during long stretches of peace. But on February 13th 2022, many powerful beings arrived on Earth, and Magni the Stormrider cast off his disguise to protect mankind yet again from this latest and unexpected threat.
