History: Erik completed his one year mandatory enlisted service in the Norwegian army. Then he was selected to attend a one year officer training program. After that, he served a year as a sergeant in the Norwegian army. When that was completed he attended a two year program at the Military Academy and became an officer. Next he served three years in the Telemark Mechanized Infantry Battalion for two years as a Cavalry Platoon leader. Then he was accepted in Forsvarets Spesialkommando (FSK), which is Norway’s Special Forces. He served there and saw action while the unit was deployed to Afghanistan, It was on there on those deployments that he was wounded.  He earned  the Medal for Defence Service Abroad with rosette and the Wounded in Action Medal with one star.

After serving four years in the FSK, Erik resigned with the rank of Kaptein. He decided he didn't want to remain in the army for his career. He became a Private Military Contractor and has worked for two years now as a PMC.
