Nadya is a small, dark haired Russian woman with crystal-blue eyes, but often a dull expression behind them. Her fashion sense is non-existent -- she wears her office clothes even when not working, and doesn’t even own any makeup. Even her personality seems droll. She rarely says much outside of work, and that typically involves languages, ciphers, and codes. Nadya has a tic, she incessantly counts to three under her breath tapping her left thumb against her index, middle, and ring fingers repeatedly. Whenever she stops counting she gets lost in thought and tends to ignore everything around her.

In truth, Nadya is a savant and a hyperpolyglot. She learns languages with uncanny ease and excellent comprehension, studies linguistics and language history (Philology), and can learn a new language within a week -- two for the truly complicated ones. Nadya even understands Klingon, Tolkien's Elvish, and loves many fandoms and nerdy things! She has learned to keep quiet on the job, however. No one is really interested in her, only in what she can do. (Sometimes it helps if she pretends she's a Vulcan.)
