Modred was the apprentice of Auroem. When they both arrived in Tukoa 20 years ago, Modred was only 16 years old. A year later, he was added to the governing council upon his mentor's disappearance. Modred grew up fast and has now spent over half his life as a member of the Council.

While still occasionally "visited" by members of the Academy of Magic in the far away city of Redstone, he is fairly unmanaged. About 10 years ago, under pressure from the Academy, he hired Galdar Goldhelm to fly over the moor in search of answers. This effort was a waste of time and has since been dubbed "Modred's folly". Modred is still embarrassed by this disaster and since it happened, he has become more reclusive, focusing on his studies in his tower on the north side of town.
