Hero hired by Modred to explore the moor from overhead with the aid of a scroll of flight. The smoke obscured any additional intel and Goldhelm took his money and left. The whole excursion is now referred to by locals as "Modred's folly" and the term Goldhelm is now slang for an expensive waste of time.
