Xavier Zircon is not his true name, but most humanoids mangle the croaks and grunts of his native tongue horribly enough that he adopted his new moniker. He is a humble guy who used to spend most of his time strolling the swamps, meditating as he practiced his herbalism and trapped tasty critters for his meals. But when he heard tell of the rise of an undead threat of some sort, he decided to see if there was any way he could assist. After all, the existence of undead creatures was clearly an affront to the intended natural order.

Backstory: Growing up, Xavier's family was fairly nomadic. They remained mostly within a single vast swampland, but never really settled in a single location for long within that swampland. As he grew up, Xavier continued with the nomadic lifestyle on his own, and attained a deeper connection to the nature around him than most. Which manifested in the form of divine druidic magic. Xavier also has ample opportunity to practice his nimble movements while traversing the swamps, and developed a rigorous and disciplined form of training for himself. Spending time in meditation was also a part of both his monk and druidic training.

Through this meditation, many truths about the universe became more clear to him. His relationship with nature was one, how to create herbal concoctions was another, and how to move mythically quickly and avoid strikes and inflict damage nimbly was yet another. But perhaps the most important truth revealed to Xavier through his meditations was the fact that he was a reincarnated soul.

Such a revelation seems like it would be a shock to most, but a part of Xavier had always known. Despite knowing his soul had once inhabited another body, Xavier had no memories of that life, or clues as to who he used to be. At least, not until recently. But now that he has received "The Vestments of Aine," he now strongly suspects that Aine was a former incarnation of his. He looks forward to discovering more in the future about who exactly Aine was. He feels learning more about Aine will help him learn more about himself.
