Appearance
Osram Ns'Romma is a very square man. Tall and wide, it's a bit comical to see him having to duck and twist his heavily muscled frame to avoid hitting his head or ramming a shoulder when fitting through the airlocks and other doorways and openings on most ships.
His artificial arms are scaled to the rest of him, or perhaps it's the other way around, and the visible metal reinforcements in his shoulders back, and the rest of him hint at the potentially extensive amount of him that is no longer human.
Osram keeps his dark hair buzz cut short and tends to have perpetual stubble. The craggy nature of his mottled complexion, from too much exposure to the invisible elements of space that most people don't have to worry about due to living beneath an atmosphere, likely make attempting a close shave more trouble than it's worth.
Despite his appearances as a grizzled musclebound man of the deep black, his blue eyes carry a particular liveliness and his wide mouth is often in toothy smile or grin, conveying his amusement at something or another.
Personality
Contrary to his appearance, Osram is quite the happy go lucky sort. He can be serious when needed, but much prefers to keep things light, and would rather face the harshness of reality with a grin than a frown.
Special Abilities
Besides his sheer size, both of Osram's arms are artificial. As needed either of them can transform slightly, and while being supported by the opposite limb, extend a series of raised rings that synchronize to emit short range modulated pulses at differing frequencies intended to break up the dead rock of space in order to extract the bits of its precious heart.
The rest of the work Osram has likely had imposed upon him does not manifest itself so obviously. Though it is notable that in zero gee environments he is almost balletic in his ability to shift his bulk about, and often dons a fall arresting maneuvering pack when working in a moderate gravity or above situation.
Background
Osram Ns'Romma has spent most of his life as an asteroid jockey, laboring in the hard vacuum to extract mineral wealth for others at the expense of his life and very humanity. It's been a raw deal no matter which way you'd slice it but as a hard luck case from the belt colonies sometimes a bad deal is the only one to be had.
