Appearance
Val is a stunningly gorgeous woman in her early 20s with perfect proportions and long flowing purple hair. Despite her beauty, you can tell she's a mutant by the fact that her eyes and veins appear to glow when she's agitated. She also has a habit of wearing black clothing and lipstick. So, despite her bright hair, she's got a bit of a goth vibe going.
Personality
Val is often aloof and distracted and has a short temper when people are wasting her time. She is sensitive about certain taboos and superstitions, particularly those surrounding the dead.
Special Abilities
Val claims to be able to commune with the dead. Most don't believe her but she often knows things that she couldn't possibly know. You've also seen her heal wounds with a touch. Even watching it live on the medical monitors doesn't help as the readings don't make sense. It's like it's just magic. However, she can also "unheal" old wounds, so don't bother her on breaks.
Background
Val is extremely secretive about her past, but it's clear she's suffered some kind of emotional trauma. If she truly can speak with the dead, one can only wonder what tales the spirits have told her.
