WThough a bit shorter than average and athletically built, with blond hair and piercing blue eyes, chiseled features, and a toned and athletic body, many women considered Staff Sergeant Jamish Danjelo to be quite good-looking.  That is, until his last mission, where he, and his team, were exposed to a large amount of weapons-grade fissible material.
Jamish's face, and eighty percent of his body, is now covered in burn scarring from radiation, and his blond hair and blue eyes have turned a burnt brown and a strange, almost glowing, green respectively.  He has lost a bit of strength from the radiation poisoning he suffered, and some of his cognitive faculties from head trauma, but, of his entire team, he is the only survivor.  Right now, his biggest worry is cancer over the long term.
Now that uniforms are no longer his normal mode of dress, he spends his time dressed for comfort and ease of movement.  Bootcut jeans, sweatshirts, t-shirts, sometimes a button-up or polo, denim or leather jacket, workboots, and ball cap or fedora, all worn over a suit of combat armor, and usually a concealed pistol.
He is kind and compassionate, an empathetic man who believes in freedom and second chances.  However, in the course of his military service, he has killed many people ruthlessly and efficiently.  And he remembers the face of every one of them.
Strangely, he can sometimes be seen with a brindle-colored, angry-looking, fox-like dog with glowing red eyes, smoke wafting from his nose or panting mouth, that seems to always stay very close to him.  He refers to this Infernal-looking dog, named Maximum Ruffage (more often just Max) as his therapy dog.
