Hjelmarsk-Valknut

“Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”

"Let me live deep while I live; let me know the rich juices of red meat and stinging wine on my palate, the hot embrace of white arms, the mad exultation of battle when the blue blades flame and crimson, and I am content. Let teachers and philosophers brood over questions of reality and illusion. I know this: if life is illusion, then I am no less an illusion, and being thus, the illusion is real to me. I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content.”

"I'm not going out of my way looking for devils; but I wouldn't step out of my path to let one go by.”

"It is only the promise of death that makes life worth living.”

-Robert E. Howard

Weight: Hel 285lbs./Valknut 750lbs.
Height: Hel 6'7"/Valknut 7'- 8'4" w/wings
Physical Description: Let there be no mistake - Hel is a large man. Standing well over six feet in height he is a well built human, with broad shoulders and a physique that speaks to a high amount of physical prowess. Well muscled and lean, he looks like a man purpose built for conflict, or perhaps a throwback to a different time.

His hair is dark and kept shaven on the sides and back, though a single braid sometimes adorns his head. He has a full beard and intense dark eyes peer from beneath his brows. His expression almost always seems terse, despite his actual mood.

His right arm from his shoulder and pectoral muscle is adorned with an intricate tattoo down his arm, presumably continuing beneath the strange leather wraps that adorn both forearms. His left shoulder used to be padded by a hide of some wild beast. In older times two axes would have been crossed on his back, ready for violence, and though he still has them he no longer carries them. His clothing tends toward the simple now, and the hide and axes mentioned above are kept safe. Instead he tends toward sturdy boots and hardy cloths of earthen tones. A cloak is not unusual, though a simple short sleeved shirt in warmer weather only makes sense.

-----

Valknut is an altogether different sort of look than Hel. This alternate form of Hel is brought about by invoking, well, the Valknut (as explained below). This brings into being a golden armor that clads Hel from head to toe. This form is larger and heavier, taller. A vermillion colored one piece pteruges hangs from the waist, with the symbol emblazoned upon it. Light blue energy can be seen at various points on the armor, the shoulder pieces also sporting the Valknut symbol. The golden helm is often seen as a smooth piece of armor, though now and then great wings adorn it as well.

Distinguishing Features: Hel simply has a dark countenance, though his intricate tattoo is certainly a distinguishing mark as well as the various scars upon his person from years of conflict. Especially one conspicuous scar across his throat (which has affected how he speaks). It is also hard to miss a golden seven foot tall armored being.
