Background: Kira grew up on the lost water world of Sargasso, on an island in the World Ring Chain. Her mother was a bard and began training Kira to sing, play an instrument, and recite the old stories. But Kira was more interested in the stars and stowed away on an Imperial transport ship. She arrived on Vera Cruz and from there made her way to the Academy Interatta on Leagueheim.

The next four years were spent learning the ways of the Charioteers and gaining piloting skills. Fresh out of Flight School, Kira took on many jobs in order to earn experience, including jobs for the Reclamation Department. She also worked closely with a Scraver crew on less than legal expeditions to find alien artifacts.

Kira is interested in history, especially Second Republic technology, so she persuaded an Engineer to implant an Advisor on her neck. She named the Advisor Finn, after a character from Celtic mythology, who gained wisdom after tasting the Salmon of Knowledge. Kira recently joined the Society of St. Paulus and is looking to further explore the worlds of the Fading Suns.

Being from a Lost World, Kira sometimes commits social gaffes, as she is still somewhat unfamiliar with normal customs. As a pilot, she excels at reckless maneuvers at high speed and she dislikes safe and routine flights.

Appearance: Kira has bright green eyes that stand out against her pale skin, with a sprinkling of freckles across her nose. Her hair is a fiery red, cut in a messy style that frames her face. She is tall and slender with an athletic build. She is wearing a faded green Charioteer jumpsuit with patches from the Reclamation Department and the Society of St. Paulus, and she carries a blaster pistol by her side. She has a small amber bear charm on her left wrist which she claims makes her fly better, and the right side of her neck has a delicate metallic tattoo of a leaping salmon.
