Son Wukong

He couldn't remember his real name and, frankly, he didn't care to. When he had been taken, WuKong was a homeless vagrant feeding himself by fighting in underground fight clubs for the entertainment of older triad members and the children of wealthy business men. He had grown up in an orphanage and been apart of the system his whole life until he graduated to a juvenile detention center.

That's where the gentry had found him: promising freedom but in reality just transferring him from one cell to another.

Comparatively to others he had spoken with, his durance hadn't been so bad. He was used as a play thing, a trained monkey, to delight his keeper. He was treated fairly well until he could no longer tickle the True Fae's mercurial interests. That's when everything went down hill...

The world he was kept in was subject to his master's whims. When his antics no longer amused the Fae, the Fae found other ways to 'play' with his toy. This usually included him being tortured physically one way or another. This lasted until WuKong dared speak out against his master. Then the real punishment was given.

Wukong was chained on each limb and a mountain was dropped on top of him. This phase of the durance lasted 15 agonizing years, each labored breath took great effort and felt like it would be his last.

A rival Fae was his indirect savior; a rival of his Keeper. When she started laying siege on the realm as a whole, Wukong was able to get free and escaped into the hedge-- finding that the wilderness suited him. After being lost for sometime, avoiding trouble with his wits, stealth, or-- when necessary-- his fists, WuKong came across what would be his first friend: a Japanese ronin that apparently had also been kidnapped by his master.

The two were able to survive together another week in the Hedge before escaping into modern day DC. The country, time, and culture were all foreign to him but WuKong was nothing if not a survivor...
