Democritus's full name is Democritus ex Bonisagus Filius Euphrasius. Born and raised in Cairo with his older brother Atreus, he was taught many things by the scholars in Cairo and his father before he became Euphrasia's apprentice. Speaking reading and writing three languages, he excelled in his mundane studies but was bored by it. When his arts were opened, however his mind was opened to the possibilities of the arcane. All he could see anymore in his minds eye were cities rising from the water to house those who share in his firm belief in the gods. After receiving the invitation he saw the possibility of conducting his study and research in private. He brought along his greatest friend Aristides the pagan academic. (Curious +1, timid +2)
