Sebastia prefers to present themselves publicly in a range of visual aspects changing their apparent age, gender, ethnicity, and mode of dress based on their mood, or particularly interesting characters they meet outside of the Covenant.

When deeply at ease (or caught unawares by the end of a duration), their "normal" self is a somewhat nondescript and androgynous person, dark haired and olive skinned, with a slight build and a long narrow face.

They are well known to be the filius of the notorious Fernam of Jerbiton, who was Marched once it became known that he was the magus posing as the Vizier to the Almohad Caliph in Andalucia.  They received their gauntlet in their 16th year of apprenticeship only after having been captured by hoplites hunting Fernam and their identity and history rigorously verified by Quaesetors.
