Yarana
Name: YaranaAge: 15
Gender: Female
Element (Earth Water etc.): Air & Water
Appearance: Yarana is a young girl and very obviously of good upbringing. She has long black hair flowing like silk on her back and reaching her calves when let free. Her eyes, while black too, often seem to glow from an inner spark. She seems quite carefree most of the time...until she remembers - or is told - that she should behave more sternly. Which is not something she likes very much. She most often wears nice dresses, but the only jewellery she wears are amethyst earrings.
Personality: Yarana is a smart girl, a bit happy-go-lucky. She tends to be generous and selfless, but due to her upbringing she's also a bit naive about the darker side of things. Her favourite thing in the world is most definitely peaches. Though playing pranks might be a close favourite. She really, really hate pees though. Oh and having her hands dirty. And she'll do pretty much anything to skip her music lessons, no matter how 'gifted' she is claimed to be.
Background: Yarana - or Yara - is the youngest child, and only daughter, of a wealthy and powerful family with four older brothers. She was as such quite doted on, but managed to come out of the experience not utterly spoiled. She learned what most girls in her position were taught but her brothers' influence - and their inability to say no - also led her to learn quite a few more things, such as wielding a sword.
Her father is attuned to Air, her mother to Water. Two of her brothers inherited the Air from their father, the other two Water from their mother. As for her, she somehow got both. It isn't the gift it could have been however as despite her attunement being detectable without any issue, she has never been able to do anything with her Elements, no matter what technique she was taught to use. She tries to not let it get to her, but... Well, she's kinda annoyed by it at this point.
Other than that, she's had a mostly uneventful childhood. Until a couple of months earlier that is, where she was kidnapped by enemies of her father aiming to use her as leverage. Thankfully, she was rescued since then, but her saviour - a kinda rough, annoying and reluctant fellow - said he had more important things to do than bringing her back home so she either had to come with him, or walk there by herself.
Not over-estimating her chances of doing that she decided to stick with the man, which is how she found herself orbiting in the periphery of a group talking about gathering some fragments or whatever.
