The Paranet

Wiki Link: https://dresdenfiles.fandom.com/wiki/Paranet

General Description

Originally, the Paranet was formed to help minor magical talents, who were not naturally skilled enough to be welcomed into the White Council, to have access to a network of others who were in the same situation. For them to be able to reach out and report threats to their safety, update each other on important events in the various supernatural communities, etc.

These days, the Paranet is used by a variety of races for that same reason, rather than being reserved for mortal practitioners.

To get in contact with the Paranet, one must simply seek out Accorded Neutral Territory. There is always at least one Paranetter stationed at these locations.

Known Members

Basira Hussain:

Basira is young, barely twenty three, and she looks young for her age. But, she was introduced to the supernatural world at an early age. Her mother was a member of the White Council, before passing away several years back. That said, she was taught well in the ways of the Art, even if she doesn't share the potency of her mother's magic. Basira's own abilities leave her at the rank of Sorcerer, one who is well versed in the Art, and can hold her own in a fight. All in all, she is well acquainted with the quirks of the supernatural community- the new and the old. Generally, Basira works hand in hand with Daisy Tonner- another member of the Paranet.

Daisy Tonner:

Daisy is a little newer to the scene than most. She only came into her powers a couple years back, and her family has no knowledge of her abilities to this day. It's all new and exciting, but also dangerous in the current state of things, with the witch hunt well underway. Daisy, though she tries her best not to show it, seems a little nervous around inhuman creatures. She isn't rude and she doesn't stare or openly disrespect such creatures. Daisy isn't stupid. She just doesn't talk much, and consistently avoids making eye contact. She accidentally stumbled into a Soul Gaze with a warlock about six months back, when he was apprehended by the Wardens right in front of her, and she still hasn't managed to shake it off. Daisy isn't quite at Sorcerer level yet, but she's not far off. A little more training, a little more studying, and she'll reach that level. While those who are not at the level of a Wizard don't technically have 'apprentices,' Daisy has been studying the Art under the tutelage of Basira Hussain since she joined the Paranet.
