Backstory:
His identity and history are a secret well kept by him, as well as his brothers. Whether that is due to some deal that was struck, or simple personal preference, is unknown.
What is known about Jack In Irons, is that he managed to piss off the entire Summer matriarchy in one go- Mother Summer, Queen Titania and the late Summer Lady. What he did to incur their wrath is unknown but has been a hot topic for gossip in the realm of Faerie for some time now. Jack has been suffering his punishment for the last few centuries.
Unable to outright kill Jack In Irons, the Summer Queens cursed him instead, for his power to forever be chained down. These chains are metaphysical, restraining and limiting his powers drastically. He is a good deal weaker during the Summer months, and tends to avoid direct conflict these days. Of course, that's not to say that he's weak, even when chained. Jack In Irons still far outclasses most of the supernatural world, even with his restraints.
Connections:
Queen Titania - The holder of his chains. He doesn't take it personally. He made a big play and paid the price for it. He'd do it again, too. Besides, her war is feeding him quite well, so he can't bring himself to stay mad at her.
The Brothers Jack - Four powerful brothers of unknown origin, of which he is one. The best one, he might say.
