Team: Freelance at the moment, but available.  She has previously worked with the Avengers, as well as once stood in with the F4, after Ben's departure to the Guardians.

History: Janice is the daughter of a tryst between Karla Sofen and Genis-Vell.   She has never met her father, believes him dead, and, out of choice, has little to do with her mother.    She is on good terms with her grandmother, Elysius, and has spent time and done training out on Titan.   Her powers are more a blend of her mother’s and grandfather Mar-Vell’s (minus the Nega-bands, which she's never possessed, but could be a later upgrade) rather than the extreme of her father.

The acts and reputations of both parents often lead her to try and prove she isn't like either.

Powers::

Solar Energy Metabolics: Sunstone possesses the ability to metabolize and store solar energy, converting it for several uses, including the projection of intense light or concussive force, as well as accelerated recovery and flight of up to hypersonic speeds.   The latter ability leaving a gold, glittering haze in her wake.

Hybrid Physiology:  Sunstone’s blend of human, Kree and Titanian Eternal genetics endows her with superhuman attributes.   She possesses strength sufficient to lift around 15 tons, and her musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins than a human, enabling her to exert herself at peak for around 24 hours.   She can withstand terrific impact forces, such that would crush an ordinary human. Her agility, balance, coordination and reflexes are beyond the limits of even top human athletes.  Her aging process is greatly decelerated and she is immune to most terrestrial diseases.

Minor Invulnerability:   In general, Sunstone is unharmed by temperature extremes, air friction, micro-pressure, and altitude based suffocation.

Cosmic Awareness: This ability permits Janice to know facts and events without the use of physical or standard psychic senses. Applications can include intuition of danger, cosmic knowledge, discernment of weaknesses or flaws, and tracking the whereabouts of people or objects over vast distances. She is yet striving to master this ability, and it is not without its quirks and pitfalls. She is aware of how it ultimately drove her father insane, and does her very best to guard against that.
