Starling

Username: Starling
Legal Name: Anton Creswell (Starling's Current Host Body)
True Name: Oddly has 2 of them, which together are his "Truest Name."
---Charles Burshe (this is the original mundane human from pre-Godhunter from 21st Century Earth and his "hidden persona")
---Lunari, The Prince of the Void (this is a second True name he got when his human soul evolved into a godling one after the events of Godhunter. It's actual pronunciation is in Unspeech but it transltes roughly into what is described above.)
Virtue: Void
Gender: Male (He/Him)
Race: Human Body/Godling Soul

NOTE: He always seems to have some sort of scarf-hood-veil hybrid thing on at ALL times. It can even change colors and sometimes be more like a cowl or a shawl and more rarely even a cloak (because its weird like that). The thing never remains separated from him for long nor gets damaged or dirty (for Godhunter players it is his Soulbound Regalia item). However, due to some mysterious and narratively backed property this shawl is ALWAYS considered appropriate for Starling to have on REGARDLESS of the situation or circumstances, and no one EVER questions this. It's like how no one questions Clark Kent's glasses somehow make him unable to be perceived as possibly being Superman. This is more than a mental effect. It's a narratively Void-based one. He can be in jail buck naked and he'll have his Shawl, and this will seem appropriate to everyone present somehow.

Abridged Background: Starling has gone through some serious shit. That about sums things up.

What? Too abridged for ya? Well fine then.

Longer Background: Basically, Starling started out a relatively mundane human young man from 21st Century Earth. Yeah, he had some anxiety and other issues but on the plus side he was quite gifted with finance and was fairly sharp. Some things happened, and he got drawn into what he thought was an alternate reality called Godhunter - which, by the way, may or may not have also been a comic cook/anime/MMO Game. His original body was killed by this process, but his mind and soul were retained and he was forced to reincarnate into the body of a unique Void-touched being called The Lunari. On the plus side, he got some cool new powers and a nifty shawl/scar/cowl/cloak/whatever. On the downside, he began weak in his power and had to work with other reincarnated like-minded individuals to survive in a post-apocalyptic space-opera setting where 99% of the inhabitants wanted to kill, harm, and/or eat him! some things happened though, and after working with his new companions and beginning to acclimate to his new life he received the favor of a half-real goddess-Daemon who gifted him a bit of her divine power, which ended up igniting his own latent Lunari celestial nature! This turned him into a full-on godling, and his Void affinity evolved into an actual Void domain as he evolved once again and became the Prince of the Void. However, it turned out that Godhunter wasn't just a mere anime series but was a higher more "real" reality than 21st Century Earth was. And as he figured this all out and more about the Void and metaphysics, an even HIGHER more REAL reality drew him in once his soul became too evolved to be ignored by the higher primordial powers.

And you'd think this would be neat, right? Except once AGAIN his body was killed and his soul ripped out and sucked into this OTHER reality like a magnet attracting bits of metal. Except this time, he didn't win so much on the reincarnation roulette wheel and he ended up with the body of a douchebag drug-dealer crack-addict ass hat who lived in an utterly dystopian society where once AGAIN he was having to worry about being eaten by fucking gods! And even worse, he lost a lot of his magic and power from Godhunter since some of it relied on his soul while others drew from his Lunarian body and blood.

So um...yeah. Now, he gets to enjoy the wonderful life of being a crack addict with failing health and a shady past, not to mention all sorts of weird ass memories from a time before Staring came into the picture. However, there was one plus side. Or maybe not plus side since it all still sucked ass...let's call it a silver lining instead. But yes, one silver lining was that Starling's SOUL and his very sense of self could not be altered even after losing his superhuman Lunarian body. Yes, his SOUL was still no longer that of a mere human's but was a godling soul still! Which means he retained his untapped mystical potential, his metaphysical mantle as Prince of the Void, and for good-or-ill his Soulbound Raiment followed him into this reincarnation since it was bound to his soul and not his flesh.

So what was he doing now? Trying to balance out having two sets of memories across three lifetimes, having tons of spiritual potential yet having most of his powers "Reset" as his "experience points" stayed with his old body, and desperately trying to snort down a line or two and not get a third nostril in the process. He is, of course, also trying to see if he can learn more about the ways of this world so that he can either regain some of his old magic, or learn entirely new magic while continuing to try and discover more about his Void domain (which was something he hadn't fully mastered yet even in his last life).

But one thing was the same in this new life compared to the last one: he wasn't willing to roll over and die and become god-chow. He'd find a way to turn the tables on those bastards just like he was doing in Godhunter, and try and save anyone worth saving along the way because he couldn't believe every single person in this new reality was rotten. No...he had to believe people had good, redeemable qualities too. Because if he didn't then what was the fucking point of anything? This was a thought he simply refused to entertain.

More low-key, "civilian" appearance:

Not full on "doing a mission," but with a bit of an edge:

When being more sneaky, doing not-legal things, etc:
