Garidan D'naitrus

Garidan is a middle aged man of common height and build with a dusky, weathered face, dark graying hair, a well trimmed beard, and shrewd green eyes that gleam with exuberance. A long, weather-beaten gray cloak hangs about his shoulders, beneath which he wears a brown leather overtunic, breeches, sturdy traveling boots and close-fitting leather gloves. An elegant renaissance hat and headscarf cover his head, with other scarves coiled around his collar. Whilst staying in Sigil he carries little with him, save for two pouches on his belt. When outdoors, he often wears a long gray poncho over his cloak to protect him from the city's frequent rains.

Common Knowledge
Garidan is a seasoned member of the Society of Sensation and a well-traveled planewalker with an exceptionally broad range of worldly knowledge. From lore of arcana and spellcraft to planar cosmologies and bestiaries — from Golarion geography and culture to ancient history and religions; from modern-day nobility to archaeology and lost languages — Garidan always seems ready to expound on virtually any scholarly subject.

Those who have traveled with him have also seen his skills in cautiously scouting through old tombs and ruins, especially with regard to circumventing hazardous traps, whether they be mundane or magical. He has also been known to be quite resourceful with a modest but versatile array of spells, and frequently consults his spellbook to good effect when devising solutions to obstacles.

Garidan often prefers to resolve conflicts peacefully and has a notable talent for diplomatic negotiation. When friendly persuasion fails, he usually withdraws and keeps a safe distance from whatever confronts the party, typically relying on enchantments and illusory spells to keep hostile threats confused and distracted while others handle the fighting. If forced to attack, he grudgingly resorts to somewhat weak offensive spells or fires arrows from cover until a threat is eliminated. Violent conflict is unquestionably the circumstance in which he is least effective.
