Personality: Suzie is, once you get to know her, and get her to settle down, a very sweet and kind young woman. She’s vivacious, full of easy laughs and big bright smiles and snorting giggles. You wouldn’t know it to look at her, but she’s full of nervous, fluttery energy just waiting to be unleashed, and directed by a headstrong determination, and a rock-hard commitment to duty.

It’s just too bad it’s all buried underneath a veritable mountain of insecurities, squashed confidence, and trampled aspirations. This has rendered Suzie shy, a bit withdrawn, and at times suspicious and cynical, as she’s been burnt or disappointed one too many times by now by what life has handed to her.

Appearance: Suzie is short, just north of 5’2” with most of her height coming out of her legs. She’s slight of build, with slender shoulders, a thin waist, and narrow hips. Her pale, heart-shaped face is friendly, shy, and often tinted by a blush that’s sometimes so dark it hides the smattering of freckles across her nose. Her most notable feature, besides the large, round glasses that she usually wears, is probably the massive burr of wild red hair that falls about her in cascades of natural ringlets.

Background: There really isn’t much to say about Suzie Lowe’s past that is of great interest to anyone but her. She grew up in a small town in upstate New York, not one of the rich kids that have cabins out by the lake or live the high life in the ski resorts during the winter. Nah, her mother worked for a cleaning company that serviced all those big fancy hotels, B&B’s and in more recent years, whatever instant hotel needed some extra crew. Her dad worked as a mechanic at the garage in town, and her three older brothers all worked there with him. Suzie was the youngest, and the only girl.

She lived a fairly alright life. It wasn’t anything special. It was plain, it was boring, times were always a little bit tough, money was tight, and nobody had the time or space for the fourth kid.

When she was eighteen years old, and just out of high school, she took the biggest swing of her life. She was going to go to New York, work, find a flat, get into collage, and escape the small-town life, and the loneliness there. None of her plans panned out too well though. Something always got in the way, someone always put a stick in the spokes of her wheels. When she was finally ready to just give up, and go crawling back home, praying that they’d take her back, she was called for an interview at Sloane Law. They didn’t like her for the position though, she didn’t have any experience, no degree or merits, and they couldn’t make her a PA. But, the old grey man behind the desk, with the hard eyes had asked if she knew how to answer a phone and if she could be polite and smile when people came in through the door. When Suzie said yes, they gave her a shot, and that’s how she made receptionist, and later worked her way up to secretary.
