While often he appears sullen and quiet, Halgotin is obsessed with learning more about the dark star and its connection to both his fiendish heritage and his sorcerous powers. He is a little paranoid and secretive. He isn't afraid to test his limits in dangerous situations, as he believes it is the only way to uncover hidden truths. While he seeks to protect others from misery and darkness, ultimately he only cares about satisfying his curiosity and finding his place in the cosmos. He feels the dead are fortunate, as they are no longer bound by the curse of mortality.
