Physical Touchstone: The Sister
Jana Shields, Tori's half-sister.  Tori left her sister behind when she left home.  It was the hardest, most painful thing she ever had to do, feeling like she abandoned her sister to the monster that was her stepfather.  While she escaped the physical bounds of the house, Tori couldn't bring herself to go far.  She constantly entertains plans on how she would get her sister out of the house, and away from him, but can't reconcile that with the feeling that she would be no safer out here than in there.

Spiritual Touchstone: The Ambitious Totem
Tori's followed by a wild spirit everywhere.  The spirit is a primal one; it encourages reckless, chaotic abandon.  It wants her to lose herself in the wolf.  More importantly, it wants to grow. It wants to prey on smaller spirits with his help, and become something fearsome.

Backgrounds:
Tori comes from an abusive family.  Her stepfather espoused the belief that if you couldn't keep it in your pants, at least keep it in the family.  This went on for several years until finally Tori had enough.  She went to her mother and tried to tell her, with less than stellar results.  The fallout was predictable, with Tori leaving the house for good.  For a while she bounced around friends homes, but that was only ever a short-term solution.  She learned a fair bit about the homeless sub-scene, and how to eke out a subsistence when you had literally nothing, but life was hard.  Unbelievably hard.  The First Change came upon her when she was hunted by a pack who has recognised the signs following her.  This ended her official homelessness, but even that was temporary.  The Moonshynaz didn't have the resources to sustain another mouth, and Tori was soon escorted out -- but as a parting gift, one of the Moonshynaz bullied the spirit of Tulane University to placing Tori on the roll.  While she's part-time, she has a student id card, and access to all the school's buildings.  She often crashes in one of the empty classrooms after hours, giving her a sprawl of "territory" she calls home, for now.

Appearance:
A short, athletic girl in her late teens with long, dark blonde hair.  Tribal tattoos decorate both sides of her head underneath her hair.  She dresses in a layers of cast-off and faded clothing, which gives her an appearance like 1990s grunge.  She's known for causing mischief, and giving the campus security the run-around.  She's incredibly fast and agile, and can often be seen hovering around the edges of the free-runners on campus.

Personality:
Tori refuses to back down to any threat, justifying it with her tribal oath.  She expects others to have her back, regardless of how much trouble she causes, but she gives loyalty as much as she expects it.  Her own family was royally screwed up, so she focuses on what she thinks a family should be and tries to emulate it perfectly.

Find and secure a place to live. (short-term)

Rescue her sister from her parents. (long-term)
