Before you stand’s a man in the spring of his life.  He looks to be just under six feet tall and slight of frame.  The clothing he wears is all loose fitting and flowing.  His hooded robe is a deep charcoal gray with a black colored trim around the wide sleeve cuffs, hood and padded collar, and bottom edges of the robe.  The padded collar extends from his left shoulder down and across to the right side of his waist (like a gi top).  The robe top is secured with four finger length black wooden dowels through the extended collar.  The robe is gathered at his waist with a broad brown leather waist belt, above which is a single sleeve pocket pouch to put both his hands into.  At closer inspection the waist belt has four metal medallions stitched into the pattern below:
     O
O        O
     O
Each medallion has a different image etched into it; the top medallion has the image of leaves blowing in the wind; the bottom medallion has the image of a mountain; the left medallion has the image of ocean waves; and the right medallion has the image of flames.  As the robe continues down it reaches mid calf.  The robe is cut at the front and back in the fashion of the letter “M” to allow his legs the freedom of movement they may need.  Under his robe he wears loose fitting trousers of the same color as his robe and gray leather boots on his feet.

He wears his brown hair cropped very short for the ease of care that is has to offer him; which also shows off his sharp facial features and his dark soft green eyes.  The wide sleeves of his robes hide his hands most of the time, but you do catch flashes of color from around his large hands.  Tattooed from the tips of his fingers and circling up both of his arms to his shoulders and neck are fiery red, orange and yellow flames.

His other possessions are meager.  Slung across his back rides a faded black canvas shoulder bag with a waist strap that holds it securely to him where he keeps most of his worldly possessions.  Attached to the shoulder bag is another soft canvas bag.  This bag is just over three feet long and about 8 inches wide.  Perhaps, a bag for an unstrung bow of some sort, though you see no outward signs of armor or other weapons.

As he moves, you are surprised at the grace of his fluid movements, which seem to never end much like the tides of the oceans.  Even when he appears to be physically standing still, their is something that tells you his spirit is still in constant motion.  It makes you think somehow of a snow-covered mountain hiding the living and moving lava within a volcano, ready to explode and forever change its environment at any moment.
