Lawbringer Baynor Dekos

Lawbringer Baynor Dekos, the Shield of Dolf Valley, isn't a overly large man but he carries himself in such a way as to draw notice.  Long marches carrying heavy loads and endless battle training have sculpted his body into a chiseled tower of muscle.  He walks with an air of confidence, not from ego, but from accomplishment.  The warpriest's jet black hair grows long enough but not too long.  While on campaign it often goes days on end without a cleaning.  The reputation is far from the truth as the priest uses tactics to his advantage just as much as anything else.  He never goes without his white tabard bearing the symbol of his patron St. Cuthbert.  Just as prevalent is the large mace he is never seen without.  Lawbringer Dekos is known to have a good laugh when the time calls for it, but deadly serious when needed.  He is quick to judge and does not hesitate to pass judgment on those deemed guilty.  He does not hesitate to enter battle when needed.

His title of Lawbringer is the highest a warleader can obtain in the church of Saint Cuthbert.  He is the only warleader that is a member of the Scales of Justice, the ruling body of the church.  His far roaming duties often keep him from the council meetings.

His respectful nickname of the Shield of Dolf Valley comes from one of his victories.  Baynor Dekos was only just growing to become a warleader when the battle took place.  His squad of soldiers defended a mountain pass against a force of attackers many times it's size.  They held for three hours of continuous fighting until reinforcements could arrive.  Had they not held the pass, the army camped in the valley would have been caught off guard and suffered severe casualties.  Baynor earned the title of Knight-Defender for his stout leadership in defense of the pass.
