Daniela Rosella Van Rossum

Daniela is the eldest daughter born to Cristoforo Alero and Annelise Van Rossum in Port Eden, New Hampshire.  Shortly after her younger brother, Adamo, was born, their mother passed away suddenly.

The Alero family pressured Daniela's father to remarry quickly, to provide a mother for his tiny children.  A "suitable replacement" was found in Italy; the daughter of a family friend.  Within three months of her mother's death, Daniela had a new step-mother and just over a year later, she had a new sister.

Around Daniela's sixth birthday, her father gave in to his family yet again, and moved his fledgling family to Reggio de Calabria, Italy, to join his father and brothers in the "family business".

Daniela grew up a sheltered, happy child; free from the cares of the rest of the world.  And until her cousins and sister discovered a few horrific family secrets the previous summer, she had been content to remain so.

Now, she and her cousin Niccolo have traveled to the United States; both to see what the world has to offer and to find out for themselves if the rumors about her family are true.
